About Me
Hi,
My name is Robbie Keane and I pride myself on excellent teaching strategies that I have honed, nurtured and developed throughout 20 years of Maths teaching at all levels ranging from infants right through to 3rd level.
I have setup Mathsplanations so I can use my teaching experience to offer a wide range of courses and group grinds to students with the aim of developing their Mathematical skill set and thought processes that will allow them to maximise their performance in exam situations.

I stop at nothing
Mathsplantions has put in place a classroom that is designed specifically to enhance pupils learning. Combining excellent teaching strategies with the most up to date technology, pupils are guaranteed a positive, interactive learning outcome.
I Love To Teach
Teaching is something I have been doing for as long as I can remember. From when I was in Primary School and helping my little sister with her homework right through to University where I was able to help students in the years below me. Maths has always been a particular passion and I particularly enjoy watching pupils when the penny drops and they finally understand a particular concept and then can’t wait to put what they’ve learned into practice.
I Take It Step-By-Step
My teaching strategy when it comes to Maths is the Step by Step approach. Maths is difficult for students when steps have been left out. A simple analogy is to imagine trying to climb some stairs if a few of the steps have been removed. What I do is add in the amount of steps necessary that allows pupils to understand and complete mathematical problems.
I Keep It Simple
Ultimately the key to Maths is to try and keep things as simple as possible. Break problems into smaller simpler problems that are easily solved before combining these to solve the bigger problem.
